My introduction to Becca Cosmetics came when I spotted the line in an issue of "W" Magazine sometime ago.  Curious about the line of mostly foundations, I decided to give Becca Cosmetics a try.  Needing a change in foundation, especially during the warmer months, Becca sparked my interest because it offered three basic things I was looking for in a new foundation:  a)  it offers "major" SPF protection; b) sheer coverage; & c) an extensive range of shades.

First off, Becca was created by Australian Makeup Artist, Rebecca Morrice Williams (hence, the name "Becca").  Dissatisfied with trying to find foundations that offered a flawless and luminous finish, she decided to create her own line of foundations.

Seeing that this line was created by an artist, I figured that the foundations had to be awesome.  I decided to ditch my usual PX Virtual Skin Foundation and give the
Luminous Skin Color Sheer Color Makeup SPF 20 a whirl.  I chose a shade called Tobacco (D3).  This was an excellent choice!  The texture of the foundation is really smooth and when I applied it, it was as if my skin drank the foundation.  I've never seen my skin look so flawless!  I like this product because a little truly goes a long way.

After applying the Luminious Skin, I dabbed a bit of the
Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 20 in Pearl on top of my foundation.  It made my skin look like it was beaming from within!  I couldn't get over the fact that my skin looked so good and I got so many compliments on my skin when I wore the foundation.  I didn't get comments like, "Your makeup is pretty."  It was more like, "Your skin is gorgeous!"  I knew it had to be Becca working it's magic!

After road-testing those two products, I tried the
Mattifying Primer before I applied the two other products along with Fine Loose Finishing Powder in Spice after the foundations for a more matte look.

Although, I still loyal to my Prescriptives Virtual Skin Foundation, I think Becca will be my new choice of foundation!

Below is a breakdown of what Becca has to offer:

Skin Enhancers/Foundations

Becca Tinted Glow Enhancer Glowing Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20  ($33) comes in four shades: Amber, Sandstone, Gold, & Topaz.  This product is extremely sheer and it lightly tints the skin so beautifully, while enhancing your skins appearance with luminiosity and warmth.  Contains skin conditioning ingredients like Vitamins, A, B, D, & E.

Becca Mattifying Primer & Silky Hydrating Primer are two products that are great for priming the skin just before adding any sort of foundation to your skin.  The Mattifying Primer is great for those with oily t-zones to soak up excess oil and the Silky Hydrating Primer is great for those with drier, tighter skins that need a boost of moisture.

Becca Luminous Skin Colour Sheer Colour Makeup SPF 20 ($33) is an ultra sheer foundation that visibly improves the look and feel of your skin.  Comes in twelve shades ranging from Porcelain (lightest) to Mink (darkest).  It's great because it protects your skin against 96% both UVA and UVB rays.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Shimmering Moisturizer SPF 20 ($33) comes in two shades of Pearl & Gold.  It protects the skin just like the Luminous Skin Colour and it makes you skin look as if it has been lit from within.  Can be worn on bare skin to give it that extra glow!

Becca Translucent Bronzing Gel Instant Temporary Tan ($33)
is best for fair to medium skin tones and is great for those with normal to oily skin.  You don't need to sunbathe when you have a product this handy.  Great for using on other parts of the body, too.

Becca Stick Foundation SPF 30 ($36) has a wide shade range of 27 shades from Latte (lighest) to Espresso (darkest).  Soft creamy texture with great skin protection!  You can apply this product as light or as heavy as you'd like.  It's works best when applied over on of the primers and it's also great because it holds the skin's water capacity making this a great anti-aging product!

Becca Compact Concealer Medium & Extra-Cover ($27) has an extensive range of 30 concealers ranging from Nougat (lighest) to Espresso (darkest).
This concealer mixes two formulas in one compact, a medium coverage on one side and a fuller one on the other side.  Since these concealers are highly pigmented, you can mix and layer to your hearts content!  The Medium Coverage is a light weight concealer that covers well and the Extra-Cover is very opaque and has a slighly heavier and drier consistancy that provides excellent camouflage.  Truly a great product to have!

Powders

Becca Compact Pressed Powder ($35) comes in ten gorgeous matte finishes from Eggshell (lighest) to Cocoa (darkest).  Made with a modified rice starch, this powder is great for touch-ups and it never cakes on your skin.

Becca Fine Loose Finishing Powder ($35) comes in the same ten shade range as the pressed powder.  This micro-milled powder will give you skin a smooth and flawless matte finish.

Color

Becca also offers color products such as: Creme Blush (5 Shades); Creme Eye Colour (5 Shades); Bronzing Powder (4 Shades); Pressed & Loose Shimmer Powders (14 Shades); an Eye Gloss; a Translucent Cheek Tint (a berry gel); Lipgloss (6 shades), Mascara (2 Shades); and a full range of professional brushes for an expert application.

My one gripe with Becca is that it's not easily accessible within the U.S.  You can find the line at Henri Bendel in NYC.  If you really want to try this incredible line, call Henri Bendel at (212) 872-2744.  Becca Cosmetics also has a website that will be offering e-commerce soon.  Check them out at

Ciao!
